Dynamic Spine and Rehabilitation Center uses the most current evidence-based approaches to chiropractic medicine. Our functional assessments and treatments have been proven to increase patient function while decreasing pain, allowing you and your loved ones to enjoy an active lifestyle.

Our vast work in post-graduate studies has allowed us to develop an approach that can be tailored to each condition. Follow the links below to learn more about the services that we provide.

McKenzie Method

mdtThe McKenzie method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) is a classification and treatment protocol for problems of the spine. It helps to treat conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, herniated discs, radiating leg pain, arm pain/numbness, and sciatica. One of the key components of this method is patient education. This method utilizes education to train the patient on proper posture and ergonomics and provides the patient with exercises to treat their own pain. It is directed toward patient self-treatment methods, therefore making the patient less reliant on the doctor for relief of their symptoms. For more information visit www.mckenziemdt.org

Active Release Technique

ariActive Release Technique (ART ®) is a movement based manual therapy technique that addresses muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. It has been proven to be highly effective in treating many repetitive overuse injuries such as IT band syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow, shin splints, and even headaches. Chiropractic Manipulation / Mobilization

mpiChiropractic manipulation is used to release restricted joints in both the spine and the extremities. Joints often become restricted due to poor posture, improper biomechanics, and/or injury. A joint that is restricted leads to excessive motion in nearby joints. This excessive motion leads to degeneration of the joint. Therefore, restoring movement and function in all joints is a preventative procedure for future degeneration and dysfunction.

For those patients that prefer a lighter manipulation, we also provide mobilization to the joints to help restore movement and function. This is a low velocity technique that does not provide the audible release (popping sound).

Dr. Leffler uses manipulation and mobilizations as taught by the Motion Palpation Institute, a biomechanically sound and evidence-based chiropractic manipulation technique. For more information

Functional Rehabilitation

A key part to every examination and treatment is movement assessment. Improper movement patterns often lead to dysfunction, pain, and poor performance. With functional rehabilitation, we can assess these improper movement patterns and then stabilize areas of weakness to correct them.

Dr. Leffler was trained and influenced by many leaders in this field including Brett Winchester, Corey Campbell, Tom Lotus, and Mark King of the Motion Palpation Institute, Pavel Kolar of the Prague School of Medicine, Greg Rose of the Titleist Performance Institute, and Steve Heffner of the McKenzie Institute.

Nutritional Counseling

alAt Dynamic Spine and Rehabilitation Center, we believe in an anti-inflammatory diet. Inflammation is the primary cause for most chronic pain syndromes. By educating our patients on proper diet and supplement use, we can achieve longer lasting results, thus allowing our patients to live a more healthy and active lifestyle. Dynamic Spine and Rehabilitation Center recommends supplements from Anabolic Laboratories, a federally regulated and pharmaceutical manufacturer that makes nutritional products.
